Author of Aesthetic Sustainability and Anti-Trend. Exploring resilient design, anti-trendy living, and the rewilding of cultivated humans — from a house without walls in the Balinese jungle.
About
For the past 8 years I have been based between my birth-country Denmark and the dense Balinese jungle, where I do research and live in a house without walls surrounded by lush green palm trees and a multitude of animals and insects.
I am currently exploring uncultivated behaviour as a part of my new book project, Uncultivated. The intention is to challenge taken-for-granted cultural and societal assumptions and promote a rewilding of the cultivated human being.
My main research areas are resilient design solutions, sustainable living, cultural tendencies and trend research, permaculture, and the preservation of endangered crafts-traditions.
Published Works
An investigation of resilient, anti-trendy living and design as viable alternatives to the insatiable "more wants more" mantra of consumerism. Encouraging designers and consumers to take responsibility for overproduction and alter unsustainable patterns.
Creative Project
Southeast Saga is a creative project exploring handcrafted and reborn wardrobe pieces, rooted in Southeast Asian artisan traditions and sustainable fashion principles. Each piece is crafted with intentionality — designed to be worn, loved, and kept.
The collection features reborn wardrobe items, handcrafted pieces, and artist collaborations that embody the anti-trend philosophy of creating objects that nourish the user on a long-term basis.

Academic and professional courses on sustainable fashion, aesthetic sustainability, and design strategy. Taught at international design academies and available for in-house corporate programmes.
